Setting Out

We left Grafton on Wednesday 21st April and drove out to Wally for a couple of nights to unwind after five months of renovations. Thursday was a pretty relaxing day mowing lawns, tidying gardens and reading.

Friday morning we set off for Sydney, arriving at Bryan and Kathy's about 6.30pm.
The autumn leaves were beautiful up in the New England area.

On Saturday, Kathy and I spent the day at an auction at Grose Vale on an old property. Kathy bought a couple of old chairs and I got two boxes of patchwork fabric at a real bargain price!

Saturday evening we drove into the city to Surry Hills for Nigel's 60th birthday party. It was a great night. Michael's band played, the food was delicious, and it was great to catch up with folks I hadn't seeen for quite some time.
Sunday was a pretty quiet day. On Monday we went into the art gallery to see the Archibald Prize. Glenn and Rick met us out the front, where we all had coffee before going in. The exhibition was great, as usual. The works in Art Express were exceptionally good.
