On to The Great Ocean Road

Before leaving Ballarat we went into town to have a quick look in the art gallery. We had been there a few years ago, and it was really good. We weren't disappointed.

After our big day at Sovereign Hill, we were pretty tired, and the trip down to The Great Ocean Road seemed ages, when it wasn't that far at all. We found a lovely caravan park at Kennett River, between Lorne and Apollo Bay. There is hardly anyone else in the park. This is a great time of year to travel, most of the parks are not at all busy and you can pick your spot. This park is on the main road, but you don't hear the traffic at all for the sound of the surf. There's a river just across the road where Dave has gone fishing.

There are lots of koalas in this park. There were 3 in the tree above the car and caravan. The parrots are also quite tame. If you hold your arm out they land on you...king parrots and crimson rosellas.
